We can lay our trust in words which echo through the night

When wisdom fills a cup we know we’ll be alright

Our soul penetrates into fractions which are so dear

Memories of moments, of significance, they disappear

I’ll be alright, like I always whispered to myself

Said an urgent thought buzzing in someone’s head

Making room for no one but the inner vulnerability that I met

And a book of wisdom was waiting on a shelf

A day so endless like no one I captured willingly

Rush and meaningful words that lasted a century

We can survive like orchestras that enthrall millions

Like an army marching to protect civilians

We can be our best and still we urge for more

Happiness

Some say the sound of happiness

Is here and never quite so far

It lies beneath a wooden bed

The roar of trees, a shining star

That echoes, what else to expect

It disappears, as a memoir

Some say we are just at our best

When dreams are made reality

The morning is a new beginning

A thought becomes a key

 And we know that we are winning

We are strong and steady like a tree

I say that happiness

Is our choice and a daily fight

We can expect so much less

A spark accompanies us at night

We can be glad we tried

And above all for every mess

Sometimes the world stands still

But it usually doesn’t go like that

Albeit your will

And the things you need to protect

They reconcile

You with your inner self

We need to listen to ourselves

The phantoms

Leave the opera by night

And in the morning they are gone

Though I am the master of my own life

The birds they chatter

That only destroy and harm

Give no one a reason to hurt or kill

Who are closest to our lands

The richness of this planet is for everyone

 

We need a system that is fair

Not be ruled by money and profit

Trade should connect us

And not only be in favour of the rich

No one should be forced to snitch

That is why we have to

Fight poverty and starvation

Be one nation
